Summary

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST at NAWCTSD ORLANDO. This position will serve at the Director, Sustainment Department with full technical and administrative responsibility for the operation of the NAWCTSD Sustainment Department and will provide Executive Level direction for the integration, management and timely accomplishment of the entire Sustainment mission at NAWCTSD.

Duties

Help
  • The Sustainment Director will have responsibility and oversight for the following divisions: Industrial and Logistics Maintenance Planning, In Service Support Division, and Integrated Management Division.
  • You will provide executive level planning/implementation, formulation of department policy and guidance, department work processes, and program requirements.
  • You will provide policy guidance direction and management planning for training systems matters and ensures the development of the people, processes, and facilities necessary to support the acquisition and support of training systems.
  • You will be responsible for representing NAWCTSD in all Sustainment matters relating to the development of new or innovative methods and processes.
  • You will be responsible for Sustainment operated information resources.
  • You will be responsible for developing and maintaining an organizational Sustainment program that includes architecture, requirements, objectives and policies, sustainment personnel, and processes and procedures.

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • This position is a designated Critical Acquisition Position (CAP). You must sign a three-year tenure agreement prior to assuming the position unless a tenure waiver is approved.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (NM-04) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following: 1) Developing logistics and engineering proposals and innovations to streamline, simplify and economize processes; 2) Demonstrating experience in acquisition logistics and integrated product support; 3) Utilizing engineering theory, modeling and operations research techniques; and 4) Providing technical guidance and coordinating and interacting with other departments and organizations.
