Duties

Help
  • Assistant to the aquatics manager in the supervision of the aquatic programs and acts as head lifeguard for Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield Aquatics branch.
  • Assist with planning and administering a wide range of fairly typical, conventional and well-established basic aquatic activities.
  • Assist manager in plans and coordination of details for reoccurring and nonrecurring aquatic, fitness, instructional, and joint community programs.
  • Assist manager in planning and establishing aquatic certification curriculum to include lifeguarding, lifeguard instructor, water safety instructor, water fitness instructor and other safety, etc.,

  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation (Child Care National Agency Check with Inquiries CNACI).

Qualifications

Demonstrated experience in planning and executing aquatic programs. This experience may have been gained managing indoor or outdoor aquatic programs and facilities.

Required experience must have been equivalent to the next lower grade level (NF-02).
Current certification in Life guarding or Life guarding instructor, First Aid and CPR for the Professional Rescuer or equivalent (Certifications must be submitted at time of application).

The following certificates must be obtained within 12 months of appointment:- Water Safety Instructor - Aquatic Facilities Operator (AFO) or Pool Operator certification
