About the Position:
This is a full-time civilian faculty position as provided under Title 10 USC 4021. The initial appointment may be up to 3 years, the first of which may be a trial period. The appointment may be renewed in one-to-five-year increments thereafter. Academic rank and salary will be based on the selectee's academic credentials, experience, and professional accomplishments.

The Professor of Educational Methodology supports program offerings across a variety of modalities including resident, blended, distance, and synchronous and asynchronous content delivery. The Professor of Educational Methodology works directly and collaboratively with program directors and staff, instructors, faculty and subject matter experts to research, plan, design, develop, evaluate, and revise courses and training materials. The Professor of Educational Methodology will emphasize best practices in instructional design and effective use of technology for teaching and learning, including accessible and inclusive design principles.
- Earned graduate degree from an accredited institution in a discipline relevant to education, such as higher education, curriculum and instruction, instructional technology, or educational psychology. While a terminal degree is preferred, candidates within six months of completing a Ph.D. or Ed.D. are encouraged to apply.
- Evidence of experience designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating faculty development programs at the institutional level.
- Ability to model and teach best practices in instruction with an emphasis on the purposeful use of educational technology.
- Ability to produce high-quality research, writing, and presentations related to the scholarship of teaching and learning that bridges the gap between theory and practice.
- Experience in research methodology (to include quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods research), psychometrics, and data visualization is valued.
- Strong interpersonal, written communication, and oral communication skills in complex, dynamic, and interdisciplinary environments.
- Ability to work collegially with diverse (military, civilian, international) graduate students, faculty, staff, and administrators and foster connections with networks external to the institution.
- Evidence of experience supervising highly qualified and distributed teams.
Job Requirements:
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university in instructional technology, education, information technology, curriculum design, higher education leadership, or adult learning; Ph.D. preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in higher education. Teaching experience is preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in instructional technology, education, information technology, information sciences, course design, curriculum design, e-learning, or curriculum design.
- Experience interacting with multi-disciplinary faculty and stakeholders at the college level.
- Experience with technologies like Canvas, Turnitin, Peerceptiv, Camtasia, SharePoint, and other Office 365 applications.
- Comprehensive knowledge of current instructional theories and principles applicable to both online and instructor-led programs face-to-face instruction.
- Experience with adult learning theories, interactive training, e-learning design principles, and on demand instruction and evaluation methods.
