Summary
The Policy & Capabilities Directorate ensures the IC is best postured for the threats and challenges of an uncertain future, through strategy, policy, and capabilities development. Comprised of 7 organizations, PC oversees IC Human Capital; Acquisition, Procurement & Facilities; Intelligence Advance Research Projects Activity; Science & Technology Group; Requirements, Cost & Effectiveness; Policy & Strategy; and Domestic Engagement, Information Sharing & Data.
Coordinate and lead the quarterly Artificial Intelligence (AI) Executive Steering meetings.
Coordinate integrated plans that bridge governance, strategy, technology, and training, and to achieve AI strategic goals.
Drive initiatives aimed at optimizing IC Services in order to enable an AI-first IC.
Coordinate with other IC AI POCs across the IC to enable and ensure the identification, discoverability, and accessibility of AI policies and solutions for all missions to leverage.
Engage with policy and legal counterparts to address challenges, ensure compliance, develop relationships with community partners on the use and governance of AI and data science capabilities in government and intelligence systems.
Conduct strategic outreach across the IC, DoD, and other government agencies, as well with commercial partners and academia.
*Represent the organization at meetings, conferences, and other public forums to foster and cultivate strategic alliances with other IC components.
Develop and implement a strategic partnership strategy, to include defining the goals and metrics to report on progress across strategic goals.
Engage with stakeholders to ensure that critical capability gaps are understood and addressed.
