This position is located at Office of the Inspector General for Tax Admin, INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY/CIO. You will serve as an Information Technology Specialist with the primary responsibility to provide high-level, day-to-day support of TIGTA's Information Technology (IT) infrastructure. The purpose of the position is to serve as a central point of contact for all IT requirements for Problem Management.
Summary

You will serve as an Information Technology Specialist with the primary responsibility to provide high-level, day-to-day support of TIGTA's Information Technology (IT) infrastructure. The purpose of the position is to serve as a central point of contact for all IT requirements for Problem Management.
As an IT Specialist (CUSTSPT), you will:
-Analyze customer requirements, develops specifications for new or modified systems, plans and coordinating the design, development, testing, installation, and support of new and modified systems, including hardware and software, and serves as the primary liaison with customer organizations on all IT-related matters.
- Manage assigned projects and communicates complex technical requirements to non-technical personnel.
- Prepare and present briefings to senior management officials on complex/controversial issues.
- Provide expert technical advice, training, guidance, and recommendations to management and other technical specialists on critical IT issues; revises existing policy for use by other IT specialists, line managers, or contractors.
The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience for the GS-13: One year of experience at the GS-12 level or equivalent that is directly related to the position and has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience includes: -Experience making recommendations and decisions on policy and procedures for Problem and Project Management; AND
-Experience planning, designing, and developing Service Operations; AND
-Experience developing and delivering customer support programs for an organization using IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) processes.
In addition to meeting specialized experience, applicants must also show proficiency in 1) attention to detail, 2) customer service, 3) oral communication, and 4) problem solving.
