Duties

Help
  • Coordinates a variety of administrative service functions to ensure efficient workflow and operational coordination between offices and activities within the USTDA.
  • Provides travel related support and assistance to USTDA staff. Makes travel, hotel and other arrangements related to domestic and international business trips.
  • Provides support and routing of Inter-Agency Agreements (IAAs), the tracking of obligated expenditures.
  • Provides for the requisition, purchase, storage, and issuance of office supplies and equipment. Prepares, processes, and manages invoices.
  • Reviews and tracks expenditures, analyzes available budget, and makes recommendations to the Administrative Officer.
  • Analyzes, evaluates, and implements improvements affecting the efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity of administrative functions.

Qualifications

At the GS-09 level, you must meet one of the following qualifications:

One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-08 level. Specialized experience is that which has equipped the applicant with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. Specialized experience for this position includes but is not limited to working with a variety of administrative policies, concepts and practices to include the guiding Federal regulations and processes and procedures related to at least three of the following areas: travel, security, operational budget, human resources, procurement, inter-agency agreements and contracts, space and property management, correspondence, records management, and other related administrative areas; working with automated administrative systems that support travel, payrolling, or human resources; written and/or oral communication skills applied to the organization of ideas and presentation of findings in a logical manner with supporting criteria; drafting and editing correspondence and other documents for accuracy of information, grammatical correctness, format and style; applying knowledge of a variety of office automation software, such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint to produce a range of documents, formats and correspondence.

Telework Suitability:
The duties of this position are suitable for occasional telework and the selectee may be allowed to telework with supervisor approval and if they meet the eligibility criterion in the 2010 Telework Act, as well as agency policy.

Stipulations of Employment:
Selection may require completion of a 1-year probationary period.
