Duties

Help
  • Assists Facility Manager in the overall management and operation of a fitness facility.
  • Circulates among patrons to assure service is satisfactory: provides information and general instruction on the use of equipment, facilities, and machinery.
  • Duties include adjusting due to changes in program demands or hours of operation and assisting in setting up for instructors, contractors, events, athletic activities, and related functions.
  • Conducts classes and walks all facility rooms to provide guidance or referral as appropriate.
  • Assists with publicity of programs and events assists with marketing of posters, flyers and other promotional material.

  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • This position requires a favorably adjudicated T1/NACI background investigation
  • Must be willing and able to work irregular hours to include Federal holidays, weekends, and evenings
  • Must complete the following courses/classes: MWR Orientation Course; Customer Service; Equipment (Safe Operation and Basic Maintenance Repair).
  • Possesses and maintains the following certifications: CPR, First Aid and AED.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates will possess the following:

  • Work experience in a fitness facility (or multiple) performing the following duties: assist customers; set up facility for events/athletic activities etc. and issue/receive fitness equipment.
