Responsible for all Electronic Health Record related training to all assigned personnel at assigned Medical Treatment Facility as required.
Provide expertise in support of training operations of the DoD Electronic Health Record which include outpatient clinical information systems and inpatient clinical systems in conjunction with Office Automation (OA) applications.
Monitor new GS-9 trainers for proficient delivery of course content and skill.
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
Employees assigned to a medical treatment facility may be required to be screened for applicable immunizations or pre-existing immunity based on occupational risk.
Position requires work outside of normal duty hours to meet the needs of the customer. Maybe required to work extended hours prior to and after shift.
Pre-Employment Physical exam is required. Instructor must be able to stand 8-10 hrs or the duration of the class and lift up to 45 lbs.
Instructors must obtain certification to train MHS GENESIS classes within 6 months of coming on board into this position.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes documented experience which demonstrates 1) administering a training program, 2) independently planning a training schedule for a medical treatment facility, 3) coordinating with senior clinical systems trainers. 4) teaching or instructing in an adult education program, secondary school, college, military installation, or industrial establishment. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR
Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in education or a subject area related to the position to be filled, such as, Education, Human Resources or Business Administration. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
