The Deputy Assistant Inspector General (DAIG), Management and Planning (M&P) Division advises the Inspector General (IG), Deputy Inspector General (DIG), the Assistant Inspector General (AIG), M&P Division, and senior OIG leadership on management and fiscal policy, and provides critical mission-support and administrative services to the OIG's nation-wide workforce across a broad range of administrative areas which enable the office to carry out its mission, authorities and responsibilities under the Inspector General Act. In this capacity, the DAIG-M&P:
This position is in the Senior Executive Service (SES). As a basic requirement for entry into the SES, applicants must provide evidence of progressively responsible leadership experience indicative of senior executive-level management capability. Typically, experience of this nature will have been gained at or above the GS-14 grade level in the federal service or its equivalent in the private sector.
To meet the minimum qualification requirements for this position, applicants must demonstrate in resume and narrative statements possession of the Executive Core Qualifications (ECQs) and the Mandatory Technical Qualifications (MTQs) listed in this vacancy. It is recommended that your resume emphasize levels of responsibility, scope and complexity of programs managed, and program accomplishments, and results.

Mandatory Technical Qualifications - Mandatory
In addition to the mandatory ECQs qualified candidates must possess the following technical qualifications. Possession of these technical qualifications must be clearly documented in your application and should be addressed in a separate narrative statement not to exceed one page per MTQ.
1. Demonstrated experience supervising subordinate managers and a diverse workforce conducting highly complex and technical operational and administrative services required to manage critical aspects of enterprise-wide programs within functional areas while complying with legislative requirements, Executive Orders, regulations, and Federal policies. Demonstrated experience must be related to two or more of the following areas: budget and financial management; human capital management; facilities and property management; and/or contract procurement.
2. Demonstrated ability to analyze, plan, organize, direct, and adjust the functions of staff, as needed; and to supervise, mentor, motivate, and appraise a diverse staff of an organization through subordinate supervisors to meet the program requirements objectives timely and within budget.
3. Demonstrated experience in leading and managing a broad portfolio of administrative programs which reflects innovative thinking and results in program improvements and enhanced customer service.
Executive Core Qualifications - MandatoryVeteran's Preference does not apply to the SES.
SES members are excluded from premium pay provisions of 5 USC Chapter 55 Subchapter V, such as overtime pay, compensatory time off, Sunday premium pay, holiday premium pay, etc.
Relocation expenses may be reimbursed in accordance with agency policy.
A one-year probationary period is required for new career SES unless excepted by regulation.
Government-issued charge card for business-related travel must be obtained and maintained.
Drug Testing: This job has been identified as "testing designated" under our Drug-Free Workplace Program. Therefore, you must satisfactorily complete a drug test prior to being hired. Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in order for it to be credited towards qualifications. Therefore, provide only the attendance and/or degrees from schools accredited by accrediting institutions recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
