Duties

Help
  • Act as a neutral party to facilitate the informal resolution of concerns of employees and managers in a manner that preserves the confidentiality of those seeking services.
  • Communicate with individuals from various cultures and backgrounds, being mindful of stereotypes, biases, and prejudices.
  • Create and maintain the program charter, case management templates, marketing materials and stakeholder council agenda and minutes.
  • Apply conflict resolution techniques such as coaching, mediation, facilitation, and shuttle diplomacy.
  • Develop means and channels of communication to facilitate resolution and prevention of workplace conflicts and issues of individuals and groups.

Qualifications

For the GS 13: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service which includes experience working as an impartial facilitator to resolve workplace disputes; Experience providing conflict resolution services such as facilitation, mediation, or conflict coaching; Assisting in providing information on avenues to address complaints or concerns, such as through the Equal Employment Opportunity, administrative grievance or negotiated grievance complaint process; Experience engaging orally and in writing with internal and external stakeholders to receive and review questions or complaints; Experience developing feedback or recommendations for process changes or improvements.

Merit promotion applicants must meet time-in-grade requirement as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F. One year at GS-12 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS13 level.

DO NOT submit NON-Pay Impacting Action SF-50's to include "Org Cost Center Change SF-50's, Award SF-50's and/or General Adjustment SF-50's" ect. as they cannot be used to prove time-in-grade.

You must meet all qualification and eligibility requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
