Help
  • Provides authoritative information, evaluations, and recommendations on all phases of IT systems planning implementation activities and processes to the Deputy Commissioner ...
  • (CONT) for use in establishing priorities, allocating resources, and formulating management policies and DCS initiatives.
  • Directs and/or performs sensitive studies, projects, and analyses for the DCS and other Senior Executive Staff.
  • Directs broad assessments of IT requirements and performs analysis of across-the-board procedures that balance and integrate the functional and interdisciplinary inputs of all SSA components.
  • Assesses needs and develops policies and regulations to ensure timely delivery of services.
  • Leads ongoing agency initiatives and research activities for determining the most effective techniques and practices for the resolution of critical systems problems.

To qualify for the 2210 IT Specialist series, the applicant must demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
  • Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
To qualify for the GS-15, the applicant must have 52 weeks of specialized experience at the GS-14 level, or equivalent, which is in or related to the work of the position to be filled, that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.
Such IT related experience must include:

Experience providing technical oversight for development, implementation, troubleshooting, and migration of all:
  • a) Avaya One Cloud Private
  • b) One Cloud Private for Government
  • c) Contact Center
  • d) Unified Communications solutions.
