Duties

Help
  • Prepares and serves food items which include, but are not limited to, hot dogs, nachos, chips, candy, lemonade drinks, etc. Keeps work area clean and orderly.
  • Collects sales slips, total sales on cash register, accepts payment from patrons and makes change as necessary. Maintains related cash records.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • In consideration of COVID-19, personnel within this area routinely wear personal protective equipment (cloth face coverings, latex gloves, and face shields) while performing their regular duties.
  • Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training is required within 30 days of employment and minimum of 4 hours refresher training annually.
  • Must meet state/local age requirements at the time of appointment if serving alcoholic beverages. Certificate of Medical Examination required.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2.
  • Incumbent may also be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.
  • Frequently lifts and moves items weighing up to 40lbs. Requires constantly standing, stooping, bending, walking and reaching.
  • Work is normally performed inside with adequate lighting and heat. Care is required to avoid serious injury in food preparation and storage areas.

Qualifications

1. Be able to lift and carry weights up to 40 pounds.
2. Possess math skills necessary to calculate patron bills and take inventory.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Able to work alone. Know the proper use of special cleaning and sanitizing solutions. Know simple food handling techniques. Able to work safely. Able to serve uniform individual portions and avoid distractions when several guests ask for different items at the same time. Able to use simple arithmetic.

RESPONSIBILITY:
Receives verbal and written assignments. Is expected to work as scheduled and to know what steps are needed to complete the work. Accomplishes work on own initiative. Work is evaluated for accuracy, promptness and good customer relations.
