Duties

Help

- Responsible for establishing external policies, strategic planning & essential program activities
- Serves as the liaison regarding all legislative & applicable regulation matters & attend meetings with Congressional staff
- Responsible for timeliness of responses to inquires of the division
- Serves as spokesperson of the program & is primary POC for connections with senior NIST personnel, White House, & other senior officials
- Works in coordination & maintains good working relationships with all NIST offices, particularly the NIST Public Affairs Office & NIST Congressional & Legislative Affairs office
- Manages all media communications, including existing or new external internal platforms used for stakeholder communication
- Oversees all program marketing & branding activities, including OU reports, presentations & materials
- Responsible for all aspects concerning the program's statutory Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA) Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) Advisory Board
- Creates & supports a system & an environment that supports Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Accessibility principles & processes

Qualifications

This position requires one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 level (ZA-IV at NIST). Specialized experience is defined as: experience as a supervisor leading staff to take actions related to advancing a program's fundamental goals and objectives through press, communications, and legislative affairs. Serving as spokesperson of a program and is primary point-of-contact with Senior personnel. Overseeing marketing and branding activities for an organization. Creating and developing policies and procedures within and outside their organization.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done. We will credit all qualifying volunteer experience in your application.
