Duties

Help

Manage investment and strategic activities per the policies and directives of OEIF with direction from the Managing Director (MD) and the Vice President.

Support the conceptual development and operational implementation of OIEF's investment priorities.

Implement the OEIF investment fund program, including origination, evaluation, diligence, negotiation, commitment, disbursement, monitoring, and realization of private equity funds.

Maintain a working knowledge of OEIF and DFC policy and procedures and oversees consistent implementation and compliance, including in the areas of commercial judgment, ethics, compliance, and documentation procedures.

Act as a self-starter and own department-building initiatives. Mentor, train, and review deliverables from junior team members.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet all eligibility and qualification requirements no later than the closing date of this announcement.

Specialized Experience: You must possess at least one year of specialized experience that is equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the GS-13 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience working in international finance or private equity with direct work experience in three of the following:
- Applying macroeconomics, banking, capital markets, accounting, and valuation techniques;
- Working with emerging market private equity general partner operations and/or issues faced in the formation, investment, management, and/or disposition of a fund;
- Working with private equity fund terms and/or conditions, capital markets, private equity investment vehicles and/or structures, fund management process and/or procedures;
- Working in private equity general partner operations dealing with the formation, investment, management, and disposition of funds;
- Working with corporate finance, corporate management and/or operations, international investments, and/or capital markets.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

The salary listed in this announcement is based upon the Washington, D.C. pay scale and will be adjusted based upon the selectee's duty location. The duty location must reside within the United States.
