Duties

Help
  • Define new program resources needs upon consideration of such factors as impact of trends and the effect of actual or probable legislative action, program objectives, operations, or allocation of resources.
  • Participate in program reviews on substantive issues of moderate scope and impact to assess the effectiveness of program operations.
  • Perform analysis of program/systems/project implementation and execution in order to program funding and manpower studies accordingly.
  • Knowledge of basic statistics, accounting, budget and management techniques for devising solutions to problems

  • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position.
  • Selectees must meet position requirements for certification at Level II Practitioner in the Acquisition Career Field Business Financial Management ? (K) within 60 months of entrance on duty.
  • Secret Security Clearance.
  • Up to 15% Business Travel.
  • Financial Disclosure Statement.
  • Financial Management Level 2 Certification within 24 Months of entrance on duty.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as performing duties that include:

1) Managing the cost, scheduling, or performance for assigned programs to ensure organizational goals are met; AND

2) Evaluating acquisition strategies to identify potential risks that may impact the execution of programs

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-02/GS-11).


Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
