Duties

Help

- Responsible for NIST records management and controls as relates to facilities documents - construction contract drawings, as built drawings, specifications, submittals, O&M manuals, warranties.
- Develops and institutionalizes process for facilities documents' cataloging, maintaining, updating, storage, archive, and retrieval.
- Develops, updates, maintains a NIST Facilities construction contract drawings and as-built drawings electronic library.
- Functions as AutoCAD subject matter expert.
- Administers and oversees CAD operations OFPM wide.
- Maintains and updates existing campus building plans and site underground utility location drawings.
- Serves as COR on facilities drawings' archiving contract, on construction drawings' scanning contract, etc.

Qualifications

ZA-III:
To qualify, applicants must have one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 (ZA-II for NIST). Specialized experience is defined as experience as a draftsman (using AutoCAD); reading and reviewing engineering plans for at least three of these four engineering disciplines - architecture, civil, electrical, mechanical); good working knowledge of AutoCAD.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done. We will credit all qualifying volunteer experience in your application.
