Performs simple, repetitive tasks concerning operation of equipment, experimental areas, facilities, and instruments and increases knowledge, skills, and abilities in the technical aspects of work for resource management projects.
Observes and assists higher-grade employees in carrying out repetitive forestry tasks that follow a fixed or prescribed sequence, including research plot installation and maintenance.
Follows safety precautions affecting own tasks and those of others. Takes measurements, records data, keeps concise records, and performs simple mathematical calculations.
Completes required formal and on-the-job training, and demonstrates a progressive ability to independently accomplish assignments.
Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
Subject to satisfactory adjudication of background investigation and/or fingerprint check.
