Developmental Starting Salary Range: (CL-25/1 to CL-26/24) $48,239 to $65,865; Full Performance Starting Salary Range: (CL-25/25 to CL-26/61) $60,314 to $86,348; (Starting salary is dependent upon qualifications, experience, and court funds).
The Human Resources Specialist is responsible for assisting with the processing of a wide variety of personnel and payroll actions and for assisting with programs, practices, and projects that serve to further the office's ongoing recruitment efforts and professional development activities.
Responsibilities
Applicants must be U.S. citizens or eligible to work for the federal government. As a condition of employment, the selected candidate must successfully complete a five-year background investigation and subsequent favorable suitability determination with periodic updates every five years. Federal court employees are excepted service appointments. Excepted service appointments are "At-Will" and can be terminated with or without cause by the court. Employees are required to adhere to the Code of Conduct for Judicial Employees. It is a policy of the Eleventh Circuit that all new personnel are hired for a twelve-month initial probationary period, at the end of which time their work and progress will be evaluated. Employees are required to use the Electronic Fund Transfer (direct deposit) for payment of net pay.

Minimum Qualification Requirements
To qualify for the position, completion of the requirements for a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or at least one year of specialized experience is required. Specialized experience is progressively responsible experience in at least one but preferably two or more functional areas of human resources management and administration (classification, staffing, training, employee relations, etc.) that provided knowledge of the rules, regulations, terminology, etc., of the area of human resources administration. If the selected candidate starts this position at CL 25, they may later be promoted to CL 26 without further competition.
