Help
  • Knowledgeable, energetic, fun and love the sport enough to share it with parents and children ages 12 mos. - 18 yrs. Enjoy being in the gym with students, assist them in developing and sequencing skills on apparatus.
  • Prepare written lesson plan every practice. Have information and pre-prepared workouts for each gymnastic class and level. Provide unlimited gymnastics? opportunities.
  • Keep documentation of the progress of the gymnast with skill assessment sheets. Communicate with the gymnastic team, parents and students in a professional and age-appropriate manner.
  • Check attendance at the beginning of every class. Release each student to parents by communicating progress. Check parent?s phone numbers and email addresses at the beginning of each month to ensure Child and Youth Management System (CYMS) is current
  • Learn and grow with us as instructors by completing all training requirements. Provide great customer service when working with parents, students, potential students, coworkers, supervisors and directors.

  • Must be 18 years of age or older at time of appointment or placement into the position.
  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/physical/background requirements for this position.
  • Must have current health assessment which documents good mental and physical health, freedom from communicable disease, and immunizations in accordance with current Army and DoD policy including annual influenza vaccinations.
  • A one year probationary period may be required (either initially or upon conversion, if applicable).
  • Successful completion of annual training requirements within the prescribed time frame and demonstrated on the job competence is required.
  • May be subject to an irregular hours, evening and or weekends.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) Check.
  • Position requires working with computers, peripherals, software and common hand and electrical tools.

Qualifications

1. Possess a high school diploma or GED certificate.
2. Be able to communicate in English (both written and verbal).
3. Be 18 years of age at the time of appointment.
4. Possess and maintain the physical ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs, walk, bend, stoop and stand on a routine basis. Duties may involve working both indoors and outdoors.5. Possess and maintain health and freedom from communicable disease.
6. Demonstrated skill/evidence of competence in instructional area of Gymnastics.

Preferred are those candidates who possess a Professional Certificates/Credentials; or Associates Degree or higher with 15 semester hours of college credit in the area of instruction.

Applicants that possess at least one year teaching gymnastics to children ages 1 - 18 years of age recreationally to Level 5 (USAG) or have relevant gymnastics certifications, concussion training and is a member of USA Gymnastics as a professional will be considered highly preferred and may be sent first for consideration.
