Duties

Help

As the Chief of the Talent Management Section, your duties will generally include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Serving as a Section Chief in HR SAID/WLSB with responsibility for the oversight, portfolios, program and project management of NIH efforts related to HR systems and applications.
  • Leading multiple programs and project teams; performing the full range of supervisory functions; supervising Federal staff in a variety of disciplines; and overseeing the work of multiple contract resources.
  • Preparing and defending funding requests to support the development and maintenance of enterprise IT systems and solutions to support HR business needs.
  • Serving as an expert for HR information systems and solutions.
  • Developing strategic plans and roadmaps for HR information systems and integration with other technologies/systems.
  • Engaging with a variety of customers, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Fostering a creative and safe environment conducive to organizational agility and innovation.

Qualifications

To qualify as a Supervisory Human Resources Specialist (Info Sys), you must:

Have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: leading the development, implementation, and evaluation of human resources IT systems; IT project management; supervising employees; managing budget and funding requests; leading HR/workforce analytics; leading system committees or workgroups; formulating HR and technology-related strategies; and serving as a human resources IT system technical advisor.
