Summary

This position is located in the Information, Ticket and Tours (ITT) Division of the Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Department Navy Region Southwest. The primary purpose of this position is to provide assistance and operational tasks in the sale and promotion of the day-to-day entertainment ticket operation and to serve as point of contact for information.

Duties

Help

1. Responsible for selling a variety of numerous tickets to local sports and entertainment events in accordance with established procedures. May sell tours and cruise packages, as required. May be responsible for coordinating an annual travel fair. Assists, advises and provides information to patrons on purchases of tickets for upcoming events and availability of events. Answers questions and attempts to resolve problems. Refers unusual situations to manager.

2. Responsible for maintaining adequate ticket stock supply. Recommends replenishment of stock to manager. Recommends new ticket and tour vendors to supervisor. Initiates paperwork for ordering stock. Ensures proper receiving and issuing procedures are followed. May be required to ensure delivery of tickets to other outlets.

3. Assists with group sales and ticket discounts. Ensures that the welfare and recreation representatives are informed and advised of the numerous military group discount tickets and/or services available. Submits requests for flyers, website notices and other promotional materials to promote the ITT Office. Programs sales prices into a cash register and operates a cash register according to established cash handling procedures. Responsible for accountability of monies and change fund. Completes daily activity reports (DAR) and ensures proper deposit of cash receipts. Responsible for computer data entry of all inventory sales and receipts for all ticket outlets. Monitors total daily sales from all cashiers and reconciles with sales logs and inventories. Assists in the monthly inventory of tickets.

4. Assists in the annual preparation of the ITT Office NAF budget. Maintains property and equipment records, ensuring proper internal controls are followed to protect income, minor property, fixed assets, resale merchandise, supplies, records, etc. Ensures office is in neat order, ticket prices are current, and promotional materials are properly displayed. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
