  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

To Qualify for the NT-01: You must have successfully completed a high school or GED diploma.

To Qualify for the NT-02: You must have successfully completed a 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree OR completed 1 full academic year of graduate level education.

The required education must lead to a Bachelor's or Graduate degree with specialization in or directly related to the field in which you will receive training on the job. The degree of specialization in this field must satisfy on graduation the specific educational requirements in the qualification standard listed below:

Education

Program Requirements:
Students must be currently enrolled in a full-time academic program at an institution of higher education as defined in 20 U.S.C. § 1001. A full-time academic program is defined by the individual institution. Students must have completed at least one full year of their academic program prior to appointment.

Students must be in good academic standing with a minimum GPA of 2.8 and making satisfactory progress towards the receipt of a bachelor's or graduate degree.

At the time of application, students must provide proof of full-time academic enrollment and academic standing as well as a copy of their transcripts (unofficial transcripts are acceptable). Prior to their start date, the student must provide an official set of school transcripts.

Individuals must meet the qualifications and eligibility requirements throughout the duration of the appointment and are required to provide up-to-date transcripts (unofficial are acceptable) at the end of each trimester, semester, or quarter, which include grades for the previous term, unless requested more frequently by the supervisor or HR office for verification of enrollment and academic standing as proof of continued eligibility for participation in the program. Students who fail to meet and maintain eligibility requirements may result in termination.

This announcement uses the Post-Secondary Students and Recent Graduates direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to certain positions in the competitive service.

This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-01 position is equivalent to the GS-1-4 level. The NT-02 level is equivalent to the GS-5-8 level.
