The work of this position includes the design, development, and maintenance of data management systems that meet current and future business requirements of the IRS and its customers. Specific assignments include many of the following:
Design, development and maintenance of IBM databases.
Monitoring and optimizing database performance and tuning IBM database operations.
Generating complex queries and reports.
Participation in the design of data mining and data warehousing systems.
Development of data dictionaries, data models, metadata repositories, and other IBM data management tools.
