The incumbent serves as the Deputy Assistant Inspector General (DAIG) for the Office of Special Reviews and will have broad responsibility for ensuring the success of the program, exercising executive leadership, management, and direction over the Office. Additionally, the incumbent has responsibility for supervising and directing timely, complex, reviews and special projects carried out by Office staff. These reviews and special projects could include working collaboratively with other Directorates. The incumbent is responsible for planning, directing, and executing multifaceted investigative, analytical, and legal reviews.
At the full performance level, in partnership with the Inspector General, Deputy Inspector General, and Assistant Inspector General for Special Reviews, the incumbent's duties include:
Initiating and developing special studies and reviews based on interests or requests from such sources as Hotline contacts, Congress, or the media.
Quick identification of key problems and associated issues, evaluation of potential impact, and continuous assessment of the review scope
Organizational direction and management of a comprehensive program of administrative, criminal, and special investigations, surveys and studies covering all activities and levels of EXIM as well as individuals and organizations having official dealings with EXIM
Setting priorities; coordinating work operations; developing internal procedures to insure that subordinate supervisors and employees are informed of all aspects of personnel programs; interviewing candidates and making selections for supervisory positions; evaluating the performance of supervisors; approving, modifying, or rejecting personnel actions proposed by subordinate supervisors; making decisions on disciplinary actions; approving and disapproving leave, and formulating training plans for all employees.
