Summary

The Office of Recovery Programs (ORP), U.S. Department of the Treasury is responsible for leading the Department's implementation of economic relief and recovery programs, including nearly $420 billion in programs from the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021. The office is principally focused on efficiently establishing and administering Treasury's programs to support an equitable and swift recovery from the public health and economic challenges precipitated by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Duties

Help

As a Policy Advisor Broadband, you will:
- Serve as a broadband subject matter expert in the review of material submitted by grant recipients.
- Work on a team to review material submitted by states, territories, and Tribes pertaining to investments in broadband and other capital projects, and making recommendations based on those materials.
- Coordinate with the recipient throughout the life-span of the program to ensure adequate collaboration, timely payments, and complete and accurate reporting and compliance.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

Specialized experience for the GS-13: You must have one (1) year of specialized experience that has equipped you with the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal service, public or other private sectors.

You must have specialized experience with Implementation and administration of broadband grant programs at the state or federal level

You must also have specialized experience with two (2) or more of the following additional requirements:
-Experience developing written analyses or memoranda for senior officials regarding the economic, financial, legal, or policy issues and recommending courses of action; OR
-Experience preparing written products such as tables, memoranda or reports and communicating the analytical findings of research; OR
-Experience creating policy implementation plans based on legislative and regulatory guidelines; OR
-Experience preparing analysis or responses to inquiries from private companies, interested parties, governmental authorities, or members of the public

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
