Duties

Help

  • Implements cloud data architecture in Azure Data Lake and Synapse with distributed SQL pools, using established security protocols.
  • Monitors IT security protocols over PII and other sensitive data, particularly as it relates to third party data sharing agreements.
  • Creates and oversees the application of a diverse set of models, tools, and risk and decision science techniques to develop and enhance program operational and analytic capabilities.
  • Leads cyber risk management and devises strategies to reduce risk across SBA OIG's cloud computing environment using a deep understanding of cybersecurity domain areas and federal cyber policies, frameworks, and programs.
  • Uses data management tools to control the organization's storage, retrieval, security, and integrity of data.

Specialized Experience Statement:

GS-13: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector such as: implementing cloud data architecture preferably in Azure, maintaining SQL databases, monitoring IT security protocols over PII and other sensitive data particularly as it relates to third party data sharing agreements, and using big data cloud computing tools to streamline the organization's ETL (extract, Load, Transform) of unified record views.

Applicants must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below.

Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
