Duties

Help

  • As Team Leader, ensures the organization's strategic plan is communicated to the team; communicates to the team the assignments, projects, problems to be solved, milestones, program issues under review, and deadlines or completion
  • Serves as a primary technical information specialist and provides technical information support as functional team lead for the day-to-day activities of the TIMB assigned Technical writers/editors and Information Specialists.
  • Serves as Technical Authority Advocate on behalf of the Medical Life Cycle Management Command to ensure compliance of Technical Data Packages (TDP) standards and specifications in accordance with MIL-STD-31000B, DoD 5010.12-M, Army Data & Data Rights (D&DR) Guide, Army framework for intellectual property management IAW Army Directive 2018-26 - (Enabling Modernization through Management of Intellectual Property), Development of Technical Manuals (TM) and related Logistics Product Data (LPD) IAW Army Product Support Manager's (PSM) Guidebook to Technical Manual Contract Development and Quality review and other applicable DoD Technical Data standards, documentation and requirements.

  • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Life cycle logistics Certification within 36 months of entrance on duty.
  • This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
  • Occasional TDY may be required.

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized experience is defined as; having one year of specialized experience at the GS-12 grade level or equivalent pay band level in the Federal Service performing the following duties;
1. Providing technical information support as functional team lead for the day-to-day activities of assigned Technical writers/editors and Information Specialists;
2. Providing technical information support in the function of quantitative/qualitative source identification and research; interviewing; raw-data interpretation, translation, and analysis; AND
3. Leading a team of Technical Writers/Editors, Analysts and Technical Information Specialists by providing oversight.
