You will support the Navy's Airborne Strategic Command, Control and Communications Acquisition Program.
You will plan, execute and update internal and external communications plans with national, international, political and budgetary impacts.
You will create and edit news releases, fact sheets, talking points and other material to stimulate internal and external interest in command accomplishments.
You will prepare speeches and presentations for senior command leaders and advise on delivery.
You will respond to and coordinate media requests for information, interviews and site visits.
You will arrange photo and video-graphic opportunities for journalists and other related media professionals.
Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
GS-12: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Developing high quality mass communication plans and related products concerning a wide range of subjects; 2) Applying a wide range of principles, practices, techniques and analytical methods used in mass communication and interpersonal relations; 3) Preparing speeches and presentations for senior leadership and advising on delivery; 4) Implementing internal and external communications strategies with national, international, political and budgetary impacts.
GS-11:Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Creating and editing news releases, fact sheets, talking points and other material to stimulate internal and external interest; 2) Assisting with preparing speeches and presentations for senior leadership; 3) Applying techniques and analytical methods used in mass communication and interpersonal relations.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
Education
In lieu of specialized experience applicants may qualify based on education OR equivalent combination of experience and education for the GS-11 grade level:
Successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
OR
successfully completed three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree
OR
Successfully completed an LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled.
OR
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience
