Support System administration and subject-matter expert on high impact or highly complex projects, provide technical support, advice, and guidance to other staff or contractors and other operational areas on highly technical and complex systems engineering project. Tasks to include, but are not limited to Systems administration, managing SAN, websites, content management, active directory, users access, databases, commercial products on Windows and Unix, on-premises and in the Cloud, etc. Manage projects utilizing an agile delivery approach such Kanban or Scrum.
Prepares reference materials for users on new systems and IT products by writing operating instructions. Assists with the training of staff on IT-related equipment. Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential. Assists in the setup, management and maintenance of all IT-related equipment (IPhones, laptops, desktops, etc.) in compliance with security protocols. Maintains hardware and software maintenance agreements to ensure integrity of operations processes. Supports end users with IT and IT security related problems in a responsive and service oriented manner.
Assess and research new systems to improve the software/hardware quality and security, measure the risk, review its impact on the existing infrastructure design and recommend the best approach to implement the new systems (Cloud, Storage, Security/Encryption, Data Hub, COTS, Open Source, converged or emerging technologies, etc.)
Resolves data retrieval issues and documents system changes and revisions. Assists in introducing processes to maintain a stable secure network environment. Develops and monitors performance levels of software and hardware and evaluates, recommends and proposes alternative methods of information processing. Assist with trouble shooting, installing, testing and implementing new systems and IT and Cyber products.
Collaborate and coordinate in committees or working groups with department heads and other IT Division in the identification of information systems: collect data, classify data, process, analyze, distribute and make it available to customers. Manage and resolve issues related to data governance, data ingest, data preparation, data loading, data access, performance tuning, space usage and change request.
Assists the Chief Data Officer developing and validating existing stakeholders’ conceptual data models, including socializing and implementing logical and physical data warehouse/datamart data models; identifies data sources and metadata to deliver analytic requirements.
Assists and supports Data Lake; Data Provisioning Services; Data Virtualization; Data Visualization Tools; BI/Reporting Tools and Self-Service systems.
Build highly interactive dashboard using Tableau and PowerBi for data visualization in an understandable form using maps, charts, tables, graphs and other interactive content.
Demonstrates extensive abilities to interact with investigators (Cyber), Cyber and IT auditors, leaders, and other end-users to understand and document risk scenarios and functional requirements, data sources, metadata, and conceptual data models for complex projects. Support our Electronic Crimes Unit (ECU) as they proactively detect and investigate cyber crimes at banks and in the banking sector.
Manage the life cycle of the IT products and security and cyber technologies, to include maintenance, upgrades, enhancements and optimization and assess risk as part of the life-cycle analysis. Maintain and protect the integrity and confidentiality of Systems Information in Databases and Network Files.
Monitors agency network activities and cyber incident response activities. Analyzes evidence of suspicious behavior to identify and report events that occur or may occur within the network to protect the information, systems, and networks from threats. Advises top-level management on immediate and long-term measures that must be taken in accordance with the level of risk involved, including exploring new concepts and technologies.
Performs real-time cyber defense incident handling (e.g., forensic collections, intrusion correlation and tracking, threat analysis, and direct system remediation) tasks to support the agency’s Cyber Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT).
Evaluates and recommends the acquisition of IT security tools. Installs and configures new hardware, software, and peripheral equipment to support IT security tools in accordance with agency standards.
Reviews data collected from various cyber defense tools (e.g., Intrusion Detection System (IDS) alerts, firewalls, network traffic logs) to analyze events within the operating environment and identify and mitigate threats and deter future security attacks. Responds to security alerts indicating possible cyber events.

Qualifications
Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 13 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience with system development, dash boarding tools, network administration, supporting data analytics and cloud based applications, project management supporting end users that comply with federal security requirements and guidance while meeting current and future IT and Cyber business requirements.
You must also have Information Technology (IT) related experience which demonstrates proficiency in each of the following competencies:
