Duties

Help

DUTY 1: Monitors significant threat activities to enhance ISR operations in wargame scenarios. Presents ISR capabilities to a variety of service, joint, national, and coalition customers.

DUTY 2: Serves as a senior analyst in the Wargaming Division and adversary subject matter expert (SME) advisor.

DUTY 3: Serves as Wargaming Training and Exercises Threat Planner, SME and principal action officer for N&NC/J7 Wargaming Division.

DUTY 4: Responsible for communicating and effectively integrating the Commands policies, plans, procedures, actions, and milestones to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of planning, development, modification, execution, engagement, evaluation and analysis of wargame, TTX, and SLS events.

  • Battle Roster functions may include, but are not limited to, Joint Personnel Operation Cell, Contingency Command Center, Future Operations Center, Joint Enabling Capability, and other tasks as assigned.
  • These duties may require additional duty hours and/or alternate duty locations.
  • Position is designated Special-Sensitive, incumbent must be able to obtain and retain a TS security clearance with access to SCI or TS SAP to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.
  • This position has been designated as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing.

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.

This is a GG-13 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-13 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-13 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: I have the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: Mastery of and skill in applying a comprehensive range of intelligence research, collection methods, dissemination applications and methodologies that includes the evaluation of diverse sources of information utilizing multiple intelligence information systems in order to develop intelligence capability and threat assessments. Amasses and reviews in detail intelligence data using multi-source expertise from either regional or functional background /training to current and operational intelligence missions. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:

1. Skill in researching, interpreting, evaluating and integrating data in the production and use of clear, concise, in-depth intelligence products. Skill in coordinating multi-source intelligence analysis conducted in response to customer needs and intelligence production requirements.

2. Ability to assimilate disparate data to render knowledgeable and accurate assessments of the implications of such data.

3. Knowledge of technical, tactical, operational, and strategic intelligence assessments in planning, organizing, and leading cooperative and coordinated Red Threat presentations for organizational wargames. Knowledge of US intelligence community structure, policies, entities, missions, resources, operations, capabilities, databases, and requirements to perform intelligence research planning, operations collection, target analysis, and other intelligence collection/analysis related activities.

4. Skill in preparing and presenting clear, concise, effective presentations of complex technical, tactical, operational, and strategic material to senior level audiences. Skill in accomplishing liaison and coordination with counterpart specialists in the Intelligence Community.

5. Skill in technical, tactical, operation, and strategic aspects of threat assessment, and red threat development for wargaming development.

6. Skill in the technical and operational assessment of foreign strategic bombers, submarines, and cruise missiles.

PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
