The Arts and Information Specialist serves as a Clearance and Partnerships Specialist with wide-ranging duties that extend to multiple internal and external organizations. Duties include drafting partnership agreements; reviewing and approving merchandise and promotional proposals; and providing advice to merchandisers, advertisers, and potential partners under guidance from the leads for Branding and Partnerships in consultation with NASA's legal office and current policies.
Summary
The Arts and Information Specialist serves as a Clearance and Partnerships Specialist with wide-ranging duties that extend to multiple internal and external organizations. Duties include drafting partnership agreements; reviewing and approving merchandise and promotional proposals; and providing advice to merchandisers, advertisers, and potential partners under guidance from the leads for Branding and Partnerships in consultation with NASA's legal office and current policies.
Duties described below are at the full-performance level. Duties assigned at a lower grade level will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence and limited complexity; duties will be commensurate with the grade of selected employee.
Reviews and approves merchandise and promotional requests (~100 requests a week).
Works with merchandisers globally to ensure that the NASA brand is in alignment with the graphics standards outlined in the NASA Graphics Standards Manual.
Works with Branding/Multimedia Liaison and Lead Designer for Standards on any updates regarding graphics standards policy.
Ensures that the merchandise and advertising guidelines are updated according to branding developments, standards changes, legal reconsiderations, etc.
Assists Partnerships Manager with creation of Space Act Agreements (SAA) including drafting agreements and associated paperwork.
Facilitates Office of Communications reviews of NASA internal proposals for new partnerships (SAA abstracts).
Co-facilitates meetings and monitors correspondence within the Agency?s Partnerships Office and related Community of Practice.
Creates weekly metrics on number of requests coming into the agency and provides analysis for internal reporting purposes.

Qualifications
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade, which has equipped you with the particular competencies needed to successfully perform the duties of the position described above.
To qualify for GS-13, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level
Supporting the implementation review for merchandise and promotional materials for a widely recognizable brand or company or organization;
Working or collaborating in general graphics design or designing products for retail in the merchandising and/or fashion industry;
Working with external entities and partners on collaborations for public engagement purposes;
Making recommendation for the development of success measures and performance metrics reports for a communications or marketing campaign.
To qualify for GS-14,you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level
Coordinating and managing services or portfolio of projects for merchandising, fashion industry, or marketing campaign;
Collaborating or partnering with a major brand, including execution of project actions and milestones;
Providing guidance and overseeing a large-scale national or international promotional or marketing campaign for a company, recognized organization or brand;
Collaborating or managing a merchandise line for a major brand or company working with a design group on adhering to branding policies.
