You will responsible for the day-to-day execution and supervision of all shore-based tactical training.
You will attend briefs and embarks on submarines as necessary to maintain knowledge and proficiency in underway submarine operations.
You will conduct periodic visits to learning sites to assess training quality and to provide training for submarine crews and training staff.
You will provide review of submarine tactics training products, lectures and curricula.
You will monitor and exercise supervisory control over the training provided by the Tactics department personnel, ensuring high standards, realistic scenarios and adherence to Submarine Force tactical guidance and training requirements.
You will oversee planning and execution of shore-based responsive training, pre-deployment training and periodic assessments of submarines.
Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Collaborating with tactical trainers to improve ship-handling, tactics, and navigation training; 2) Developing solutions to submarine training issues; 3) Evaluating effectiveness of submarine training programs; and 4) Instructing personnel on submarine tactics, ship handling, and navigation.

Physical Requirements: A majority of the work will involve standing in the classroom environment. Occasional physical activity may be required, including walking, bending, and climbing on Navy vessels for embarked training requirements.
Work Environment: Work is performed in an office building, within a classroom, computer laboratory, or office space with adequate lighting, heating, and ventilation. The incumbent is required to embark on submarines, surface ships, and military aircraft periodically in the performance of duty.
