As the Division’s chief operations expert, the incumbent reports to the Deputy Division Director and carries out operational management and administrative leadership in the Division. The incumbent is responsible to the Division Director for strategic planning with respect to Division operations and leading all business execution activities in the Division including: human resource; budget preparation, execution, and oversight; grant and contract administration; business and IT processes; and space management. For the GS-14 level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in Federal service managing operational activities for an organization. Examples of specialized experience include: managing human capital resources; independently developing and formulating operational and program budgets; serving as a Contracting Officer Representative (COR); analyzing and developing solutions to organizational issues; and providing technical oversight of staff.
Education may enhance skills required for this position; however, no substitution of education for specialized experience may be made at this level.
