As a IT Cybersecurity Specialist (APPSW), GS-2210-13/14, your typical work assignments may include the following:
Develops Salesforce applications using Salesforce DX, the Salesforce CLI, scratch orgs, and git.
Writes Salesforce Apex, Salesforce Visualforce, Salesforce Aura, and Javascript code.
Utilizes the Salesforce Package Development Model to build modular applications.
Conducts peer code reviews.
Configures Salesforce applications using declarative functionality.
Administers Salesforce applications.
Analyzes existing Salesforce applications to optimize and modernize the technology.
Leads the design, development, testing, and deployment of new software products in concert with EOP customer needs and business models.
Directs and leads collaboration with stakeholders (including customers, product owners, and others) to discuss ideas for layout, organization and functionality of digital products.
Evaluates the potential and practicality of products in development, proposes responsive solutions based on substantive technical experience and judgment.
Leads, develops and implements methods and procedures for monitoring projects, such as: preparation of budget needs/expenditures; delivery of research findings; delivery of progress reports; and conduct of staff conferences in order to apprise senior White House leaders of current status of each project.
Leads the development and maintenance of interfaces with other automated systems and maintains the documentation of business requirements to ensure ongoing responsiveness.

Qualifications
In order to qualify for the IT Cybersecurity Specialist (APPSW) position, you must meet the following minimum qualifications:
FOR THE GS-13 LEVEL:
Specialized Experience: Applicants must have at least one or more full-time years (12-months) of specialized work experience, equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service, performing the following duties:
Designing and developing new software products based on customer needs and business models;
Identifying and correcting weaknesses in IT software programs;
Applying IT Systems security principles, concepts, and methods to protect IT infrastructure and IT security systems; AND
Working on an Information Technology software development team to successfully implement IT Solutions.
FOR THE GS-14 LEVEL:
Specialized Experience: Applicants must have at least one or more full-time years (12-months) of specialized work experience, equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service, performing the following duties:
Approving designs of new software products based on customer needs and business models;
Maintaining software security guidelines to ensure companies digital assets are protected from unauthorized access;
Reviewing vendor releases for security implications to existing IT security postures; AND
Leading an Information Technology software development team to successfully implement IT Solutions and ensure software security guidelines are met.
