Serve as Branch Supervisor, IT subject matter expert, and senior advisor to Agency IT managers including: the NSOD Director, (OITO) Director, Senior IT Leaders (SITLs), and Chief Information Officer (CIO).
Plan, organize, and direct the activities of the organizational unit, ensuring that they comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, you must have either: -IT-related experience demonstrating each of these four competencies: 1) Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail; 2) Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services; 3) Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately; 4) Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations; OR -a bachelor's or higher degree from an accredited or pre-accredited college or university in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems, or networks.
In addition to the basic requirements above, you must meet the following requirements:
To qualify for the GS-15 level, you need to have at least one year of full-time experience equivalent to the GS-14 level defined as providing advice, mentorship, or guidance to staff; presenting technical information to various internal and external personnel; identifying and integrating internal and external program issues affecting the immediate organization; determining short and long range goals, objectives, or plans; and identifying Information Technology problems and making recommendations for improvement.

Knowledge of methods and procedures to protect information systems and data by ensuring their availability, authentication, confidentiality, and integrity.
Knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques of information technology (IT) assessment, planning, management, monitoring, and evaluation, such as IT baseline assessment, interagency functional analysis, contingency planning, and disaster recovery.
Ability to use computers, software applications including collaboration systems, databases, and automated systems to accomplish work.
Skill in identifying rules, principles, or relationships that explain facts, data, or other information; and analyzing information to make inferences or draw conclusions.
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with people from varied backgrounds.
Ability to make work assignments, set staff goals and objectives, evaluate performance, and determine responsibilities and priorities for assigned staff.
Ability to leverage tools and other resources to effectively communicate and lead employees which may work partially or entirely at a remote location.
Skill in identifying new opportunities to develop or improve products or services and lead the feasibility, architectural, financial, and security analysis.
Skill in oral communication.
Skill in addressing customer requirements and negotiating technical solutions which accomplish the mission within existing or anticipated constraints.
Ability to evaluate technical information related to the job and advise others on technical issues.
Ability to develop agency-wide directives to implement policy changes that impact computer resources requirements.
Skill in written communication.
