This is a direct hire authority (DHA) announcement to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. Count change fund, sets up cash drawers, and verifies the accuracy of each drawer.
Turn on the master cash control processor and sets up the office terminal(s) for the day's business.
Issue change to cashiers. Operates cash register as needed
Periodically check cash register drawers to prevent extensive fund accumulation.
Bag and seal cash and checks, make up change list for secure pick up and deposit.
Verify cashier records against total of change funds and sales records.
Physical requirements:
The work is primarily sedentary but does include some standing, walking and occasional bending. May be required to lift and/or carry money boxes or bags.
Positions will be filled under the DoD DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) Facilities and the Major Range and Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) and are subject to the restrictions of the DoD referral system for displaced employees.

To qualify for this position, applicants must possess one year general experience OR two years above high school OR a qualifying combination of experience and education by the closing date of this announcement.
General experience is progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of a Teller.
Education
Education used to qualify for this position must be from an accredited school or educational institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and a copy of your transcript is required as part of your application package.
