Duties

Help
  • Manage, direct, coordinate, and oversee the work of subordinate staff.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and policy guidance to all aspects of management.
  • Evaluate management and administrative information and concepts affecting the overall mission of the Institute.
  • Plan, develop, formulate, and administer policies and procedures governing the activities of the Institute?s administrative and management programs.
  • Advise the Institute Director on the impact and implications of administrative issues on major program and policy formulation.
  • Monitor the budget process to ensure timely and efficient expenditure of funds and anticipate changes in funding levels.

Qualifications

You qualify at the GS-15 level, if you meet one of the following qualification requirements:

You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: developing administrative and business management goals, objectives, and plans; representing an organization on committees and work groups related to program planning and evaluation or resources management processes; advising management on workforce planning, training, or program evaluation issues; evaluating work assignments of subordinate staff; advising management officials on budgetary/fiscal policy that affects program operations; and ensuring that the financial management of grants and contracts are consistent with organizational priorities.
