Summary
Serves as an Information Technology (IT) Specialist under the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and is responsible for the planning, analysis, design, development, modification, validation and implementation of SSA's programmatic systems.
Conducts systems analyses for the planning, design, and implementation of major SSA programmatic systems.
Develops proposals, prepares written impact papers, work plans, project plans and/or reports. Conducts or participates in briefings for managers and senior executives on the status of various projects.
Plans, coordinates, and conducts the systems subject matter analysis and computer programming required to implement and maintain major portions of the SSA systems.
Conducts analyses and studies, defining data, workflow and inter-relationships among organizational and systems components, databases and processes within project areas.
Provides technical advice and assistance to management on new developments and advanced techniques in the specialty area.

In addition, to qualify for this GS-12 level position, applicants must possess and demonstrate 52 weeks of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 level (or above) in the federal service that is in or related to the work of the position filled and has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such IT-related experience must include providing technical analysis, requirements, or support for the development, testing, or validation of software applications within the System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) or Agile Lifecycle.
