This position is located in the Plant Engineering Division, Facility Maintenance Section, at the U.S. Mint in Denver, CO. The purpose of the position is to exercise a high degree of judgment, initiative and ingenuity in locating sources of malfunctions in a wide range of situations and in recommending measures to prevent breakdowns.
Summary

The purpose of the position is to exercise a high degree of judgment, initiative and ingenuity in locating sources of malfunctions in a wide range of situations and in recommending measures to prevent breakdowns.
Perform routine and preventative maintenance, repairs, new installations, troubleshoots and adjusts natural gas, pneumatic and hydraulic control systems on process machinery throughout the building; includes annealing gas furnaces, gas controlled atmospheric generators, Spaleck, Die Shop, Presses Room and Numismatic equipment.
Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair sanitary sewer and vent systems, storm drainage, domestic water, lawn irrigation systems, automatic fire protection system, pipe insulation, drain cleaning, low voltage electrical, flue pipes.
Instruct employees in the operation of new building and process machinery and equipment. Perform the full range of tasks associated with the journeyman level pipefitter such as: Plan and lay out work using building plans, blueprints and sketches to determine the routing, placement, pitch, elevation, pressure reduction, expansion and operation of piping systems and equipment.
Participate in Reliability Centered Maintenance program improvements by providing subject matter expertise on areas of responsibility and evaluates the effectiveness of planned/preventive maintenance work orders.
All employees must wear face masks while on MINT property when required by CDC and Federal guidelines.
