Summary

In this position, you will provide technical support through technology transfer and dissemination of research findings, products, and tools using multiple communication platforms, and organizing tours, workshops, and symposia.
Conducts outreach activities using printed, electronic, multimedia, and virtual platforms.
Works with scientists and Office of Communications to develop information products highlighting organization's research for dissemination through print, broadcast, or online media.
Collects all necessary materials identified for inclusion in technology transfer products.
Utilizes emerging media formats and technology, and designs and develops communication products to deliver research information to stakeholders and customers.
Distributes technology transfer products to the appropriate federal, state, and regional officials, including universities, producer groups, and producers.
Males born after 12/31/1959 must be Selective Service registered or exempt.

Successful completion of one-year probationary period, unless previously served.

Qualifications
Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement including specialized experience and/or education, as defined below.
GS-11 Specialized Experience: Specialized experience is experience directly related to the position to be filled. Specialized experience must be described for each grade level advertised. The specialized experience requirements for this position are: Qualifying experience for GS-11 includes one year of specialized experience comparable to GS-09 which is directly related to the work of this position and which has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. For this position, specialized experience is experience disseminating research findings related to animal science, soil science, cropping systems, or grazing systems to the public; utilizing communication and media platforms to deliver research information to stakeholders; and organizing and coordinating outreach activities. OR Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related. Related degrees include: Agronomy, Soil Science, Animal Science, Range Science, Journalism, English and Communications. OR
A qualifying combination of graduate level education and experience as described above.
