Duties

Help

As a Program Manager, your duties will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Perform the full range of supervisory duties to employees.
  • Set the strategic direction for the Office, plan the goals, objectives and initiatives required to achieve the strategic direction and implement the plans.
  • Assess, develop, implement, and manage the Office's programs, policies and services.
  • Formulate program plans, carry out the plans, interpret the findings, and assess their
    organizational applicability.
  • Ensure programs are administered in accordance with pertinent regulations, policies and
    procedures.
  • Manage the budget for all of the programs and ensure contracts are administered appropriately.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of more efficient and streamlined methods and
    procedures to accomplish the goals and objectives of the Office.
  • Ensure that supervisors are properly trained and able to execute their human resources and equal
    employment opportunity management responsibilities in accordance with the appropriate procedures and regulations.

Qualifications

To qualify as a Supervisory Program Specialist, GS-0301-15, you must meet the following qualification requirements:

You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: supervising and managing subordinate staff; managing the budget and funding of administrative programs for a large organization and ensuring contracts are administered appropriately; develops, evaluates, and adjusts the organizational structure and management systems as necessary for organizational effectiveness; and overseeing the development and implementation of more efficient and streamlined methods and procedures to accomplish the goals and objectives of the office.
