About the Position: Administers written or computer based Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) Enlistment Test sessions at a Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) or other remote testing sites to determine individual qualifications for military service enlistment. Administers written or computer based Student Test Sessions at high schools and other educational institutions and occasionally conducts related special tests.

Duties

Help
  • Conduct specified aptitude examination sessions ranging in size from 1 to 250 persons.
  • Retrieve and return controlled test material from designated storage facilities, remote testing locations, or the shipping point and transfer material to and from the test site.
  • Coordinate with MEPS personnel to facilitate advance coordination with school officials to assure facilities offer an adequate testing environment and allow for appropriate test room control and test security measures.
  • Instruct applicants on testing procedures.
  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure testing material is properly completed, and make corrections as needed.
  • Ensure storage, use, and safeguarding of testing materials and equipment meets security guidelines outlined in applicable regulations.
  • Start, observe, time, and end the test or test segment as directed and in accordance with common test administrative practices and applicable agency instructions and manuals.
  • Distribute and collect test material, answer sheets and other paper and electronic forms.
  • **These positions will not lead to full-time employment.

  • Employee may travel up to 100% of the time.
  • Incumbent required to lift up to 30 lbs. (Transfer of controlled test material and equipment to/from authorized storage facilities to testing sites, as required.)
  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a driver's license in one of the 50 US states or possessions.
  • Must have reliable transportation in order to travel to and from remote test locations.
  • This position works on an intermittent/as needed basis.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. General Experience: One year of general experience. General experience is progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled, such as: Use of office automation tools, customer service or materials storage and inventory.

Education: Two years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. (NOTE: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)

OR

Combination of Education and Experience:
A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of by 60. Add the two percentages. (NOTE: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)

Education
