The United States Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Ohio is seeking an attorney with criminal litigation experience. This position is located in the Criminal Division of the Youngstown office.
The Criminal Division is organized into six sections: General Crimes; White Collar Crimes; National Security; Violent Crimes; Narcotics/Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF); and Appellate.
Criminal Assistant United States Attorneys (AUSAs) prosecute federal criminal cases in the District. Criminal AUSAs advise federal law enforcement agents on criminal investigations, present criminal cases to the grand jury, try criminal cases before the United States District Court, and represent the United States in criminal appeals before the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. Candidates should be capable of handling a variety of significant and complex criminal prosecutions.
Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.

Salary Information: Assistant United States Attorney's pay is administratively determined based, in part, on the number of years of professional attorney experience. The range of basic pay is $71,142.00 to $155,361.00 which includes 16.20% locality pay.

Travel:
The AUSA may be required to travel throughout the Northern District of Ohio to attend court proceedings, interview witnesses, attend meetings and to attend training at the Department of Justice's National Advocacy Center in Columbia, South Carolina.

Evaluation Method: Once your complete application package is received, it will be reviewed to ensure you meet all job requirements.
