Duties

Help
  • You will provide overall coordination of the construction quality management program for assigned projects.
  • You will coordinate information on work operations and materials in support of an occupational health program.
  • You will establish effective working relationships with stakeholders to gain confidence and cooperation on difficult issues.
  • You will maintain and manage records of contract performance, contract modification, and installation inventories
  • You will analyze technical requirements of a program to determine appropriate contract method or contract type for procurement.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver?s license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). You must be certified as a Career Field Engineering and Technical Management Level II. Certification is required within 24 months of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized Experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Reviewing pre-final contract drawings and specifications, 2) Coordinating road closures and utility outages, 3) Maintaining extensive contact with key contractor representatives to promote an atmosphere of partnering and cooperation and to quickly resolve problems and maintain construction schedule, and 4) Assisting in coordinating the delivery, storage, and use of equipment.

40 hour work week is typical for this position.

This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements.

Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.

A relocation incentive is generally a single payment intended to offset some of the relocation costs experienced by the selectee. A relocation incentive may be authorized.

Term appointments may be extended up to 8 years at the discretion of management and in accordance with applicable regulations.

A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments.
