Help
  • You will be responsible for assisting the Drivers Training Manger in conducting a continuous and comprehensive motor vehicle mishap prevention program.
  • You will assist the Drivers Training Manger with the Commands Private Motor Vehicle Safety Program.
  • You will provide recommendations and assistance to all military and civilian personnel concerning established motor vehicle safety methods and techniques.
  • You will assist the Drivers Training Manager by preparing written research when developing and preparing local traffic directives and regulations.
  • You will instruct a comprehensive Motorcycle safety course for the command.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain AAA and NCS accreditation to teach their respective driver improvement program (DIP) and DIP instructor course.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Class A commercial driver license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver?s license.
  • Clean driving record - no major infractions in the previous 3 years (DWI, DUI, Reckless Driving) and no more than two lesser infractions in the previous 3 years.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.

Qualifications

GS-09 GRADE LEVEL Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate most or all of the following: 1.) Developing and coordinating traffic safety and motor vehicle prevention programs; 2.) Assisting the driver training manager by preparing written research when developing and preparing local traffic directives; 3.) Providing guidance, recommendations and assistance to military and civilian personnel concerning established motor vehicle mishap prevention methods; AND 4.) Maintaining and updating a variety of specialized driver training course.

GS-11 GRADE LEVEL Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate most or all of the following: 1.) Developing and coordinating a traffic safety and motor vehicle prevention program, 2.) Instructing all driver training courses; 3.) Maintaining and updating a variety of specialized driver training courses, 4.) Preparing reports identifying unsafe condition with recommendation for corrective action and 5.) Establishing methods and techniques to control or eliminate motor vehicle hazards

Master's or equivalent graduate degree

OR

2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

OR

LL.B. or J.D., if related

NOTE: Equivalent combinations of education and experience are qualifying for all grade levels for which both education and experience are acceptable.

GS-11 GRADE LEVEL
In lieu of specialized experience listed in the Qualifications section, applicants may qualify based on education OR equivalent combination of experience and education, as follows:

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

OR

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

OR

LL.M., if related
