The GS-12 salary range starts at $79,363 per year. Locality determined upon selection.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS: may be met by either A or B as further defined in B-1 or B-2:
In addition to the Basic Requirements, all candidates must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level. Specialized experience is experience in the field of historic preservation/restoration and/or historic architecture, which includes preservation design and construction management; historic building technology and materials preservation, specifically related to monumental buildings; and familiarity with related disciplines such as, but not limited to, archaeology, preservation theory and law, engineering, planning, architectural history and historic building data management. This experience must have involved utilization of both proven and innovative preservation techniques, project management, technical advisory services with the appropriate methods and materials to be utilized in late 19th and 20th century buildings, and skill and diplomacy explaining and promoting the preservation perspective to both internal and external stakeholders.
Education:
Degree: architecture; or related field that included 60 semester hours of course work in architecture or related disciplines of which at least (1) 30 semester hours were in architectural design, and (2) 6 semester hours were in each of the following: structural technology, properties of materials and methods of construction, and environmental control systems.
