Duties

Help
  • Collaborates with the command's supervisors and management officials on the assessment of current and anticipated HR requirements.
  • Administers innovative human resource programs tailored to the requirements of a complex, technologically oriented organization with a diverse work force that encompass a wide variety of occupations and grade levels.
  • Executes a recruitment program designed to attract highly qualified candidates and support agency diversity goals.
  • Provides assistance for recruitment, staffing, direct hire and appointing authorities, merit promotion, civilian deployment to stateside and overseas assignments and other related programs.
  • Responds to written and verbal inquiries from the field for interpretation, technical assistance, ideas and insight based on expert knowledge and experience.
  • Provides on-site staff assistance visits and command liaison support.
  • Plans and conducts assessments to evaluate problems, deficiencies, and inadequacies identified at subordinate commands.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must undergo and successfully complete an initial and periodic Counter-Intelligence Polygraph (Cl Poly) examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI).
  • DRUG TESTING -This position is a testing designated position (TDP) in accordance with (IAW) Drug Free Federal Workplace Program. You will agree to submit to urinalysis testing on a recurring basis. You are required to sign a DA Form 5019 form.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain access to NSA and Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) accredited facilities and networks. [Military External Affairs Division (MEAD) Security In-Processing (SIP) process.]
  • Temporary duty travel may be required approximately 20% of the time.
  • TOP SECRET/SCI CLEARANCE - You must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET security clearance based on SSBI with eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized experience is defined as: assisting in analyzing significant Civilian Human Resources (HR) management issues and develop recommendations; participating in the development, execution, evaluation, and oversight of the civilian Human Resources programs; AND researching civilian Human Resources laws, policies, regulations and reference material. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service, GS-12.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
