Assists in the processing and recording of accountable mail which requires special handling, e.g., registered, certified, insured, priority, using automated tracking system.
Operates postage mail equipment including electronically transferring postage funds for agency meters.
Packages various material for and processes outgoing mail and ensures delivery to the loading dock.

Qualifications
For the GS-4: One year of progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of this position, such as collecting, sorting and delivering mail or packages, and/or providing clerical/administrative support utilizing office automation software, filing, compiling data and typing. OR You have completed 2 years of education above the high school level.
For the GS-5: One year of experience equivalent to the GS-04 level. Experience includes providing administrative support to an organization such as: preparing correspondence and reports, mail and filing, and inputting to and/or maintaining databases which support the administrative activities of an office. OR I have a 4-year course of study above high school leading to a bachelor's degree.
You must meet all qualification and eligibility requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
