Serves as District Real Estate Action Officer for joint Corps/State/local civil work projects,ensuring Federal realty policies are adhered to during acquisition of real property.
Acquires various property interests for military and civil works projects, including acquisition byeasement, lease, permit purchase, exchange, withdrawal, transfer, etc.
Acquires properties, including recruiting offices, National Guard armories, airport space, taxiway,etc., for various DoD and other federal agencies.
Serves as Real Estate member on site boards that meet at call of using agencies to investigateproposed sites.
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

Experience and/or Education requirement:
One year of specialized experience at the GS-09 level or equivalent band in the Federal Government which includes experience conducting or assisting with negotiations for the acquisition of property; assisting higher graded staff in acquisition through lease of commercial interests, office space, and other real property for the civil works programs; and managing lease and acquisition documentation. OR
Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: business or real estate. OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
