Summary
This position is for a Front-End Engineer in the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Systems; Office of Digital Transformation, Woodlawn, MD. In this role, you will be responsible for developing code for web pages and self-service applications on SSA.gov.
Assume full technical responsibility for the formulation, coordination, and development of special studies, projects or research work regarding programmatic and administrative systems development.
Serves as an agency-wide person in providing technical support and advice concerning SSA?s programmatic and administrative systems development.
Provides authoritative advice to executive level managers within the Agency about the area of expertise.
Conducts continuing review of computer technology developments applicable to system design and prepares long-range forecasts of developments relevant to SSA applications.
Provides technical direction and guidance to other IT Specialists.

In addition: to qualify for this GS-13 position, the applicant must have 52 weeks of specialized experience at the GS-12 level or above in the federal service that is in or related to the work of the position to be filled and has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience must include designing, developing, and deploying code for customer-facing websites and applications
